atmos and ASICS give Osaka-based reggae soundman RED SPIDER his first ASICS GEL-LYTE III

ASICS GEL-LYTE III is an iconic model of the Japanese equipment manufacturer. Straight out of the imagination of designer Shigeyuki Mitsui in 1990, the silhouette is regularly revisited by brands, like atmos which has been refining it for many years in exclusive collaborations with its partners.

This time, the Japanese retailer invites RED SPIDER, a heavyweight of the reggae sound based in Osaka and notorious sneakerhead, to put his signature on this model reinterpreted here with lots of contrasts.

Alternating red and black forms the foundation of the shoe – the construction is asymmetrical, punctuated with ASICS branding in red and black on the sides, heels and sủ the side ankle areas. The silhouette is further highlighted by bandana prints, also in black and red, on the tongues, eyelet reinforcements as well as on the overlays towards the forefoot.

There is also a brand new spider logo applied to the medial toe as a nod to the RED SPIDER stage name.
