The celebration of the 25th anniversary of One Piece continues, with this extensive collaborative capsule between Vans and the franchise.
In this year of celebration, there are countless exclusive capsules dedicated to this Shōnen manga by Eiichirō Oda, which in its 25 years of existence has now entered popular culture and been enjoyed by several generations of manga enthusiasts.
While the highlight of this anniversary is the release of One Piece Film: Red – the film directed by Goro Taniguchi has already been released in Japan and in Europe since last August. In North America, it is scheduled for November 4th – Vans is also joining the celebrations with this extensive capsule collection.
In addition to a range of T-shirts, accessories and merchandise branded Vans, the Anaheim-based skateboard brand is also delivering three sneaker silhouettes revisiting its iconic Sk8-Hi, Old Skool and Authentic.
The first pair in the series is the Vans Sk8-Hi which, on this occasion, takes us to the island of Punk Hazard, while the second pair, the Vans Old Skool is dressed in several demon fruits. The third and last pair is the Vans Authentic which, on a beige base, features personal symbols that refer to the nakama of Zoro, Franky and MC Guy.
Note that a slip-on with a demon fruit print is also part of the collection.
