Four years after their last collaboration, PUMA and German luxury brand MCM have reunited to celebrate the raucous glamour that basketball has to offer, with three limited edition drops, the first of which is a PUMA Slipstream Lo.
Basketball isn’t just a sport, it’s a lifestyle, and for MCM, the relationship between luxury and sports has been at the core of its focus since its founding.
“The love affair between luxury and sport is clear in this second collaboration we’ve created with MCM, the classic details of both German brands are visible in the design and construction,” said
Heiko Desens, PUMA’s Global Creative Director. “The first time we worked together was an instant success, I’m certain that it will happen again and that everyone will be excited about what’s to come.”
“The collaboration between MCM and PUMA tells a great story of the heritage of both brands, but also of the importance of culture to MCM and the connection to all topics relevant to our consumers – from sports to music to the influence of street culture on luxury brands,” added Dirk Schönberger, Global Creative Director of MCM.
The first of this trio of shoes to be released through mid-2023 is a PUMA Slipstream Lo.
Called “Show Love,” the pair showcases a white leather base, contrasted by a collar, caramel suede mudguards – this hue is also found on the insole and outsole.
For a bright touch, the two partners have added a sunflower yellow on both nylon sides of the base as well as on the inner lining. We also notice that the PUMA Formstrip has been embellished with the MCM Visetos monogram.
Underfoot, a white “AIR SHOCK SYSTEM” midsole and a caramel brown gum outsole complete the design.
The second “Show Up” drop will be released in October while we have to wait until the first half of 2023 to see the arrival of a PUMA TRC Blaze Court, the third and final drop of the collab.

The PUMA x MCM Slipstream Lo is available today for €500 on MCM.com, in the brand’s stores as well as in selected PUMA retail outlets and selected partners.
