The Nike Air Max family is welcoming a new member, the Air Max Dn, and its colorways have been steadily revealed in the lead-up to its official launch on Air Max Day. The latest addition to the mix is the “Light Orewood Brown” colorway, which utilizes a recently introduced Nike shade for a unique and neutral aesthetic.
While not as prominent as flashier tones like “Cacao Wow” or “Smokey Mauve,” “Light Orewood Brown” has been making its presence felt on Nike silhouettes like the Air Foamposite Pro and Zoom Vomero 5 in recent months. Here, the color takes center stage, covering almost the entirety of the upper for a cohesive look. The liner, tongue, and laces all follow suit in “Light Orewood Brown,” creating a unified presentation.
Moving down, a neutral grey takes over the sole, midsole, toe cap, and graphic overlays that outline the shoe’s form. This creates a pleasing contrast with the “Light Orewood Brown” upper while maintaining the overall neutral palette. A deep burgundy emerges subtly between the overlays, adding a touch of unexpected depth. This same burgundy hue underlines the Dn branding on the shoe’s back, offering a final pop of contrasting color.
Previous Air Max Dn looks have leaned towards a more understated style. However, the “Light Orewood Brown” version boldly pushes the Dn into the realm of neutral-toned lifestyle shoes. This is a significant departure from the undeniably vibrant colorways like “All Day,” “All Night,” or “Volt” that have graced the Dn in the past.
While the announcement of the Nike Air Max Dn “Light Orewood Brown” coincides with Air Max Day, the actual launch is more likely to happen in the following weeks. Once a confirmed release date is available, you can expect these shoes to retail for $160.
