G-SHOCK, the preferred ultra-durable watch brand among riders, celebrates its 40th anniversary by deepening its collaboration with FISE Montpellier in 2023.
This expansion sees G-SHOCK becoming the “TIMER” partner for Skateboarding, BMX Flat, and Breaking events, as well as introducing a new musical experience for festival-goers.
As the world’s largest urban sports gathering, FISE Montpellier 2023 will attract nearly 600,000 enthusiastic spectators and 2,000 professional and amateur athletes to the banks of the Lez river from May 17 to 21. Organized by AGENCE 3L (VENISE Group) and supported by the shared passion for urban culture between G-SHOCK and Hurricane Group, the event promises unique experiences throughout the week.
Ysatis Olive, Digital Marketing & Brand Communications Manager for CASIO / G-SHOCK, shares their excitement, stating, “We are very happy to support FISE again this year, and especially to celebrate G-SHOCK’s 40th anniversary!” G-SHOCK’s “Never Give Up” mantra will be embodied through a novel musical experience corner, featuring DJ competitions and mixing lessons for amateurs.
This year’s G-SHOCK timer will keep track of athletes’ runs in BMX Flat and Skateboarding, with the latter event serving as a precursor to the Paris Olympic Games. In addition, G-SHOCK partners with the Breaking event, making its Olympic debut in 2024.

G-SHOCK’s 40th-anniversary celebration includes a dedicated space at FISE Montpellier, showcasing their world through the unique musical concept of the G-SHOCK DJ Battle. Young attendees can learn DJ-ing skills at the G-Lab, led by the Parisian crew SIXTION, who will share their expertise and best mixing techniques.
