The Norbert Stumpfl’s Fall 2023 collection for Brioni featured a variety of fabrics that were incredibly lightweight, such as cashmeres, vicuñas, alpacas, deerskin, suede, and nappa, all of which were soft to the touch.
The collection also featured a subtle color palette that was inspired by the light in Rome, where the brand is based. The play on proportion was subtle, with more room for enhanced comfort in longer jackets, fuller trousers, and lighter, rounder shoulders. Stumpfl emphasized that Brioni’s style is almost invisible, and is designed to give comfort and confidence to the wearer.
The presentation of the collection was done in such a way that it conveyed the idea of ease and comfort, donning the soft tailored looks that have become increasingly key to the designer. The garments were fluid and deconstructed, super light, and perfection is achieved with ease despite the extensive work behind each garment.
