The iconic MINI Cooper, a symbol of British automotive engineering, is stepping into the future with a groundbreaking update – the All-Electric MINI Cooper is not just an electric vehicle, but a complete transformation of the classic MINI we all know and love. With an impressive, modernized interior featuring a giant circular OLED screen, and vibe-setting RGB lighting, the 2025 MINI Cooper EV is not only flaunting a facelift but also an increased range, showcasing the brand’s commitment to innovation and sustainability.

The All-Electric MINI Cooper has two EV variants, the Cooper E and Cooper SE, boasting 190 miles and 250 miles of range respectively, according to the European EV test cycle. However, it is important to note that these numbers might decrease to around 175 miles and 215 miles respectively when tested under the EPA cycle.
One of the most striking features of the new MINI Cooper EV is the giant, round OLED screen that now floats in front of the center of the dashboard, replacing the embedded rectangle screen in past models. This redesigned interior was teased by the company earlier this year through videos showcasing the screen’s animations and capabilities. The screen also serves as a display for Spike, a CG dog that represents the “fully-fledged voice assistant” announced by the company a few months ago. For those not fond of the dog, there is also a “stylized representation of a MINI” option available.
The “MINI Experience Modes” alter the car’s handling and responsiveness, and MINI says the interior lights, instrument cluster, and OLED screen will change colors to match the vibe of the selected mode. Voice control can be activated by saying “Hey MINI,” and is utilized for navigation, phone calls, in-car entertainment, and numerous other vehicle functions. Interestingly, the car is designed to learn from the driver’s routine, adapting to regular routes and even automatically rolling down the window at specific locations, all powered by the Android-based MINI Operating System 9.
Performance-wise, the 184hp Cooper E can accelerate from 0 to 60mph in 7.3 seconds and delivers 214lb-ft of torque, while the more powerful 218hp Cooper SE, offering 243 lb-ft of torque, can achieve the same in just 6.7 seconds. The Cooper E is powered by a 40.7kWh battery, whereas the Cooper SE has a larger 54.2 kWh capacity.
Although the body style of the All-Electric MINI Cooper generally aligns with past designs, there are some noticeable changes. The oval-shaped headlights’ LED surrounds now feature coordinated “welcome and goodbye animation” and “three adjustable light signatures.” Additionally, the rear of the car has been redesigned with angular lights that can also be personalized, as demonstrated in a TikTok video released by the company.
The All-Electric MINI Cooper is a testament to the brand’s dedication to innovation while preserving its iconic design. With its modernized interior, enhanced features, and improved performance, the 2025 MINI Cooper EV is set to redefine the electric vehicle market. The inclusion of a giant circular OLED screen, advanced voice assistant, and personalized lighting options adds a futuristic touch to this classic car, making it a highly anticipated release for both MINI enthusiasts and eco-conscious drivers alike.
