Originally designed for basketball – we tend to forget that. The Converse Fastbreak was Michael Jordan’s close companion on the hardwood floor for many years before Jordan Brand came along – the Converse Fastbreak has evolved over the years into a cult classic skate-ready model among skateboarders, as evidenced by this new collaboration with one of the brand’s most prolific riders, Sage Elsesser, aka Navy Blue.
Celebrating the great friendship between the two partners, this new Converse Fastbreak Pro x Sage Elsesser is a nod to the multi-faceted creative’s past and present personality.
Done up in an understated palette, the pair sports a distressed beige nylon base, complemented by premium white leather panels that adorn the forefoot, heel and lace-up reinforcement. “Navy Blue” accents, in reference to Sage Elsesser’s stage name when he was still a rapper, take quarter on the upper heel counter, midfoot and tongue logo, outsole and stitching.
The shoe is completed with a CONS traction rubber outsole for durability, and a personal touch embossed on the back tab: Elsesser’s staple golden rose for a hinted premium offering.
