Y-3, the collaborative brand from adidas and Yohji Yamamoto, is celebrating its 20th anniversary this year. The two partners have been celebrating the longevity of their partnership throughout the year with the “20 Years: Recoded” series, which they closed with a collaboration with New York-based label PALACE.
The special range, inspired by football and Japanese streetwear, includes a number of pieces that reinterpret Y-3’s archive pieces. Included are soccer jerseys, technical jackets, a reversible down jacket, sweaters and t-shirts stamped with the PALACE and Y-3 logo, a souvenir jacket with traditional Japanese patterns, mohair sweaters and a wide selection of accessories.
And to mark the collaboration, the duo delivered a campaign that captures the rebellious spirit of Y-3 and the irreverent humor of PALACE. Directed by Jack Davison and styled by Robbie Spencer, the campaign features football icon Zinedine Zidane and skateboarding legend Lucas Puig offering a “charismatic tête-à-tête“.
