Swatch, the Swiss watchmaker known for its innovative designs and collaborations, has once again pushed the boundaries of art and fashion. This year, they are launching five new capsule collections between mid-March and May, each paying homage to some of the world’s most iconic artists. The Swatch Art Journey collection will be available on March 16, 2023, and promises to be a playful and provocative interpretation of ten masterpieces from the world of art.

Swatch has teamed up with the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) in New York to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the birth of pop artist, Roy Lichtenstein. MoMA, founded in 1929, is a place of experimentation, learning, and creativity and is dedicated to promoting modern and contemporary art. The result of this collaboration is two captivating watches that combine Lichtenstein’s signature cartoon style and single-color Benday dots with Swatch’s playful spirit.

Swatch is bringing the Renaissance to life with two new watches inspired by Sandro Botticelli’s “Allegory of Spring” and “Birth of Venus.” The Gallerie degli Uffizi, one of the world’s most important museum complexes, houses an impressive collection of ancient sculptures and paintings from the Middle Ages to the modern era, including masterpieces by Botticelli, Leonardo da Vinci, Michelangelo, and others.

In a groundbreaking partnership with the Louvre Abu Dhabi, Swatch has created a watch that brings together the iconic art of Japanese artist Katsushika Hokusai, “The Great Wave off Kanagawa” and the Astrolabe, an intricate instrument by Muhammad ibn Ahmad al-Battuti. The Louvre Abu Dhabi, the first universal museum of the Arab world, is dedicated to promoting greater understanding between cultures and making art more accessible to the world.
