Serving up a new look in the fashion court, the legendary tennis ace Roger Federer and the trend-setting British fashion label JW Anderson, a UNIQLO collaborator since 2017, announce an exclusive partnership.

Birthed out of the fusion of Federer’s athletic prowess and JW Anderson‘s revolutionary design ethos, this collaboration not only reshapes the concept of sportswear but also transcends the boundaries of the court into everyday life.

On a runway not far from the net, Roger Federer and JW Anderson are uniting their creative forces for an innovative apparel collection under the Japanese retail giant, UNIQLO. Straddling the worlds of high-end fashion and high-impact sports, the pieces offer a masterful marriage of timeless aesthetics, functionality, and everyday wearability.

Despite their diverse backgrounds, Federer and JW Anderson have something in common; UNIQLO. The tennis champion has been sporting UNIQLO’s emblem on the court since 2018, while Jonathan Anderson, the design genius behind JW Anderson, has been crafting numerous UNIQLO collections for both men and women since 2017.

Expressing his excitement, Roger Federer notes, “I’ve always wanted to have a collection perfect for playing tennis while also versatile for the other parts of daily life.” It seems the stars aligned when Jonathan Anderson shared his vision and partnered with him to bring it to life. He further praises Jonathan as a “talented, creative and incredibly down-to-earth” collaborator.

The collection itself mirrors Federer’s unique blend of style and substance. Comprised of nine genderless items, it includes sportswear-inspired pieces such as polos, sweaters, shorts, parkas, and a sports bag. Black, white, gray, and blue rule the color palette, imparting a sense of classic, understated elegance. Further enhancing its appeal, the polo shirts and shorts utilize UNIQLO’s Dry Ex material, ingeniously designed to keep the wearer dry and cool.

But beyond the functional elements, the collection flaunts remarkable style. Striking pieces include a colorblocked crewneck sweater, a zipped fleece jacket, and a white tracksuit with sophisticated navy, green, and white piping details.

Jonathan Anderson, visibly excited about the collaboration, shared, “When I was first approached about creating a collection with Roger, I remember being very happy and excited.” A lifelong fan of Federer, Anderson incorporated his admiration into the design process. “Thinking a lot about what LifeWear means for all the different people who look up to Roger, we designed a collection that could be worn in an actual match, for a classic look or just as easily be worn around town,” he said.

This groundbreaking collection sets a new standard for sportswear, encapsulating Roger Federer’s class, JW Anderson’s innovative design language, and UNIQLO’s commitment to comfort. The result? A timeless, elevated line that comfortably moves from the court to the city streets.
