Outdoor clothing specialist, The North Face unveils its latest NSE collection, built around a futuristic and exploration-inspired universe, well in line with the “gorpcore” trend – the last term hides a fashion that consists in hijacking technical hiking clothes to wear them in town.
The first drop of this collection features The North Face Explorer Team member, snowboarder David Djité – for the women’s collection, musician Hindaco has been chosen – evolving as an avatar in a futuristic universe with a metaverse feel.
Inspired by technical pieces, the first drop combines simplicity with practicality, technical fabrics and knits with an experimental design. It “encourages explorers to open their eyes to the infinite possibilities of the realities that can be created, bringing to life a new era of exploration,” according to the press release.
Aimed at urban explorers, the first drop includes some of The North Face’s iconic staples, such as the VECTIV Taraval shoe, the Convin anorak and pants designed for active nomads and the Hot Shot backpacks.
