C.P. Company introduces the “Metropolis Series” collection that demonstrates the brand’s commitment to exploring the intersection of technology and urban living.
In 1999, C.P. Company made a bold move with the launch of its Urban Protection Range. Moreno Ferrari, the head of design at the time, was the mastermind behind this collection, which was dedicated to exploring the brand’s core technological design language. The result was a series of black Dynafil parkas, each designed with different accessories to help city dwellers handle the stresses of urban living.
One of the standout pieces from the Urban Protection Range was the first jacket, which would go on to inspire the creation of the Metropolis Series. The “Metropolis Series” continued to embody the urban and technological side of C.P. Company, featuring piece-dyed designs, tone-on-tone branding, and hard city colors that gave the collection a cold, robotic feel. This was in line with the brand’s original vision for urban life in the new millennium.
The “Metropolis Series” Spring/Summer 2023 collection takes the implementation of proprietary design language to the next level. The raincoats, jackets, and tops in this collection are designed with modular shapes that can transform through a system of hidden seams and buttons, allowing city dwellers to fully adapt to their environment.
When worn or viewed together, the pieces in the “Metropolis Series” create a topographic mosaic of movement between the urban and natural worlds. This collection continues to push the boundaries of design, inspiring a new generation of city dwellers to embrace the technological innovations of urban living.
