Stepping into the future while honoring its storied past, TAG Heuer unveils a unique timepiece at Only Watch 2023. The TAG Heuer Monaco Split-Seconds captures the perfect blend of the brand’s timeless legacy in precision timekeeping and innovative design.
The Swiss luxury watchmaker, renowned for precision and avant-garde design, introduces an iconic model crafted with meticulous detail and engineering brilliance. The TAG Heuer Monaco Split-Seconds, set for auction at Only Watch 2023, encompasses a new movement, melding the classic allure of its predecessors with forward-thinking technical sophistication.
The titanium-cased marvel is enriched by over 163 years of TAG Heuer’s craftsmanship. Its innovative design, backed by the company’s latest advancements, promises to be a favorite among discerning connoisseurs and collectors.
Frédéric Arnault, CEO of TAG Heuer, shares his excitement about the brand’s involvement in the esteemed Only Watch event. “We are extremely honored to support crucial research for Duchenne muscular dystrophy with Luc Pettavino and his team. The TAG Heuer Monaco Split-Seconds for Only Watch embodies our avant-garde spirit, marking another milestone in our journey to push boundaries,” he remarked.
Taking a stroll down memory lane, TAG Heuer’s chronograph watches have been a significant element of its portfolio since the early 1900s. The introduction of the Mikrograph in 1916 established TAG Heuer’s prominence in precision timekeeping, setting the stage for a century of innovative designs and technical excellence.
This legacy is revived and celebrated with the unveiling of the TAG Heuer Monaco Split-Seconds at Only Watch 2023. This timepiece echoes the iconic square shape that defied conventional watch design in 1969.
The texturized titanium case, creating a crystallized effect, captures the essence of innovation, durability, and aesthetic charm. With four sapphire elements, including a distinctive caseback that encloses the movement, the watch offers unique viewing angles, ensuring that the intricacies of the design are laid bare for admiration.
Carole Kasapi, TAG Heuer’s Movements Director, led a team of in-house talents and esteemed industry suppliers to craft the revolutionary TH81-00 movement at the heart of this timepiece. The mechanical split-seconds chronograph movement, developed in collaboration with manufacturer Vaucher, epitomizes TAG Heuer’s unwavering commitment to technical perfection.
“The journey to create this exceptional timepiece is indicative of TAG Heuer’s devotion to innovation and excellence. Our participation in Only Watch 2023 is not just about showcasing our craftsmanship but is a commitment to a noble cause,” adds Arnault.
The iconic TAG Heuer shield oscillating weight, adorned in the official colors of Only Watch 2023, brings the exceptional design to a captivating close. Hand-painted hues of red, blue, and yellow by André Martinez add an artistic touch to a timepiece where precision engineering and artistic elegance coalesce.
