At the heart of the most celebrated celebration in the lunar calendar, TAG Heuer, a name synonymous with precision and luxury, has introduced an exquisite duo of limited edition watches. In honour of the Year of the Dragon, these timepieces are a testament to the fusion of Chinese cultural heritage with TAG Heuer’s unparalleled racing heritage.
As we welcome the Year of the Dragon, these TAG Heuer watches stand out as symbols of strength, unity and prosperity. A revered figure in Chinese mythology, the dragon represents power and benevolence. These qualities are seamlessly integrated into TAG Heuer’s designs, reflecting a deep respect for both tradition and innovation.
Crafted with meticulous attention to detail, the new additions to the TAG Heuer family are available in rose gold and steel. They celebrate the essence of the Chinese dragon, but also parallel the success story of the TAG Heuer Carrera. This blend of cultural significance and racing heritage results in a design that exudes both majesty and celebration.
The steel version of this TAG Heuer timepiece features a sunray brushed silver dial, while the rose gold version has an 18-carat 5N rose gold plated dial. Each watch is adorned with rhodium-plated and 18K 5N rose gold plated hour-markers, highlighted by red lacquer. This red theme is further accentuated by the red ‘azuré’ sub-dials, creating a striking contrast.
A special feature of these watches is the calligraphic dragon at 6 o’clock. This subtle yet significant detail underlines TAG Heuer’s commitment to honouring heritage within a contemporary framework. The caseback design, printed with the Chinese dragon, further celebrates this cultural link and makes each watch a collector’s item, with engravings indicating its limited edition status.
At the heart of these watches is the Calibre Heuer 02 movement. Developed in-house, it promises exceptional timekeeping precision and an impressive 80-hour power reserve to meet the demands of any lifestyle.
The exquisite design is complemented by an alligator leather strap in an elegant red colour, which enhances the sophisticated and racing appeal of the watches. A specially designed box, echoing the deep red of the watches and emblazoned with the Chinese dragon symbol, adds an extra layer of exclusivity.
Available exclusively in TAG Heuer boutiques and selected retail partners from 13 November 2023, these watches are a symbolic tribute to a culturally rich and auspicious year.
