Spotted last October on British rapper Dave at the Santan Cup in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, the highly anticipated Stone Island x New Balance collaboration has been made official for a November 25 release.
Headlining the collaboration is the limited edition New Balance x Stone Island Furon v7, the latest evolution of the brand’s football shoe, which arrives in a new custom camouflage pattern that pays homage to Stone Island’s famous archival motif, with the Stone Island compass alongside the New Balance logo. The Furon v7 features an innovative Hypoknit cage, mesh lining and offset lacing to deliver impressive lockdown and support, as well as an increased strike zone.
Also part of the capsule is a soccer kit that includes a jersey and shorts. Both are made of 100% recycled polyester and feature NB Dry Tech technology, and are also embellished with an original Stone Island camouflage pattern, inspired by the brand’s archival designs, and a silicone application of the iconic compass logo.
The kit is completed with a pair of plain black socks and a pair of New Balance 574 Legacy shoes featuring a suede upper and ripstop lining. A C-CAP midsole and EVA foam heel complete the design of this silhouette.
The two partners enlisted Chelsea FC star Raheem Sterling to promote their capsule. Considered one of the brightest stars in world football, the Jamaican-born English footballer is a regular in the fashion world. He has collaborated with Clarks and has been a New Balance Football ambassador since last year.
