Rhuigi x PUMA Chapter 2

PUMA and Rhuigi Villaseñor, the founder of clothing label RHUDE, have teamed up once again to celebrate American classics with their latest capsule collection.

This new collaboration showcases the diversity and cultural richness of New York City and Los Angeles, with the five boroughs of NYC serving as the main inspiration for the collection.

The second part of this capsule collection focuses on the aesthetics of college athletics and Americana, featuring a Varsity Jacket, Double-Layered Hoodie, and a reimagined version of the PUMA Slipstream, all designed in collaboration with Rhuigi. The “New York Worldwide” graphics on the apparel pay tribute to the music, style, and culture of New York City, while the timeless green and cream color scheme gives a vintage feel.

The campaign for this collection takes a unique approach, celebrating a shared experience that unites all New Yorkers – the humble pizza slice. Set at family-owned Lenny’s Pizza, the editorial features models Kia Patrón and Tyliv Bonaparte, as well as the owner of Lenny’s Pizza, Frank Giordano.

Rhuigi Villaseñor is known for his reinterpreted classics that draw from Americana, music, and street style, melding American iconography with nostalgic cultural references to create a unique commentary on the city of Los Angeles. Through this collaboration with PUMA, he continues to celebrate American classics and bring a fresh perspective to classic styles.
