Known as one of the most promising talents in fashion today, Los Angeles-based Filipino-born designer Rhuigi Villaseñor has had a meteoric rise to fame in less than half a dozen years.
Founder of Rhude, which has become a high-profile brand distributed in many of the world’s most cutting-edge retail outlets, and newly appointed creative director of Bally, Rhuigi Villaseñor recently collaborated with PUMA to create a capsule that pays homage to the multicultural character of New York City.
The very limited capsule includes just two pieces: a faux leather down jacket and a new reinterpretation of the iconic PUMA Suede.
Honoring the five boroughs of the city that never sleeps, Rhuigi Villaseñor covers the down jacket with collegiate-style patches and appliques while the accompanying PUMA Suede is dressed in premium black leather with textured detailing, an debossing reptile on the heel, and the year “1991” stamped in gold.
