PUMA Partners with PLEASURES for a Vibrant New Collection

The fusion of athletic prowess and sartorial rebellion defines the latest collection forged between sportswear titan PUMA and streetwear connoisseur PLEASURES. Unleashing a vibrant arsenal of apparel that stands at the intersection of sporty functionality and eclectic aesthetics, this collaboration is a vibrant homage to the spirited streets of Los Angeles and the precision of German engineering.

When PUMA and PLEASURES first unveiled the Overdyed Velophasis in mid-2023, it signaled a creative collaboration celebrating eclectic design and technical ingenuity. Echoing PLEASURES’ irreverent style and PUMA’s athletic legacy, the second iteration of this alliance elevates this dance of dichotomies to new heights.

A melange of original patterns and cut-and-sew items find their canvas on graphic T-shirts and accessories, drawing eyes with their arresting visuals. “We wanted to tap into something that transcends traditional sportswear, weaving a tale of rebellion and elegance,” says a spokesperson from PLEASURES.

This tale unfolds vibrantly in the duo’s iconic Velophasis, returning with two contrasting palettes. The off-white scheme, accented by subtle yellowing on the sole, echoes the overdyeing aesthetic, while its counterpart bursts with bold orange, yellow, and black hues. But it’s the Sportartikelhersteller graphics – a playful nod to PUMA’s German roots and legacy in track spikes and football boots creation – that weave an implicit narrative of transcultural synergy.

Outerwear takes center stage with the patterned Puffer Jacket, adorning wearers with an all-over geometric pattern. The Zip-Off Jacket, boasting zipped raglan sleeves for customizable comfort, epitomizes the collection’s dual commitment to style and functionality. The Messenger Bag and Masked Bucket Hat, crafted with meticulous attention to detail, reflect PLEASURES’ signature aesthetic ethos.

To unite Los Angeles’ eclectic energy with Germany’s precision – it’s a narrative of contrasts, yet harmony, that we are excited to bring to life,” shares a representative from PUMA. This ethos materializes in Berlin, where the Velophasis Sound System event unfolds, morphing the German capital into a modern Oktoberfest carnival—a celebration of the collection’s global, yet intimate, narrative.
