The new PUMA x Dapper Dan collection not only uplifts the vibrant energy of Dapper Dan’s distinct designs but also celebrates a unique narrative that resonates with the heritage of Harlem-born fashion. Both brands, steadfast in their commitment to originality, bring to life a collection that pays homage to the past while paving the way for the future of fashion.
The designs in this collection, catered to both men and women, encapsulate the boldness of Dapper Dan’s designs with specially curated logos and motifs, signifying Dan’s admiration for haute couture monograms. Central to the range is an item synonymous with the legendary designer, the tracksuit. Reimagining the B-boy uniform born and popularized in New York City, Dapper Dan’s signature spin on the PUMA T7 Tracksuit includes the T7 Jacket and T7 Pants, both adorned with a custom pattern crafted by Dapper Dan and PUMA and elevated with a unique “DDP” badge.
For men, the collection features Mesh Shorts and Graphic T-shirts envisioned through Dapper Dan’s creative lens, while the women’s offerings encompass a Cropped Polo, Shorts, and a hooded Summer Jacket, all adorned with the custom monogram-inspired pattern created by PUMA and Dapper Dan.
Footwear in this collection underscores a cornerstone of hip-hop style, the PUMA Clyde, and the Slipstream, both revamped like never before. The Clyde, available in two colorways, transitions from “Harlem” to the “World,” adorned with bold lettering while paying tribute to ’60s and ’70s football boots with an exaggerated tongue. Meanwhile, the accompanying Slipstream is enhanced with a rubberized mudguard and gold hardware, including a chain affixed to the upper.
