The OMEGA x Swatch Mission to Moonshine Gold: Pink Full Moon watch takes horological storytelling to another level, as the Swatch group continues its series of limited-edition MoonSwatch timepieces.
Each month, a new iteration is unveiled to coincide with the full moon, capturing the imagination of watch enthusiasts worldwide. This May, the Pink Full Moon edition combines gold, pink, and a touch of lunar mystique to create a distinct collector’s piece.
As the full moon rises from May 5th to 6th, select brand stores in 19 countries offered this special edition of the OMEGA x Swatch MoonSwatch Mission to the Moon, aptly named Mission to Moonshine Gold: Pink Full Moon. This unique timepiece stands out with a golden second hand featuring a hint of pink at its tip, contrasting sharply with the watch’s otherwise subdued color palette.
In April, the MoonSwatch boasted a stealthy number three on the Moonshine-gold-coated chronograph seconds hand, symbolizing the third full moon of the year. However, the Pink Full Moon edition speaks volumes with its eye-catching pink lume adorning the tip of the chronograph seconds hand.
Despite the bold pink hue, the rest of the watch maintains the classic design elements of previous iterations in the Mission to Moonshine Gold series. With a grey-ish Bioceramic case, black dial, and black strap, this MoonSwatch pays homage to the iconic OMEGA Moonwatch while adding a Swatch twist.
The Pink Full Moon edition is more than just a pretty face; it’s also steeped in symbolism. The pink lume signifies that each watch was crafted under the pink full moon in April, and this is confirmed with a certificate of authenticity.
Priced at $285, the Mission to Moonshine Gold: Pink Full Moon is $25 more expensive than the classic Mission to the Moon model. However, the added value is undeniable for collectors seeking a timepiece that captures the magic of lunar phenomena.
Although the Pink Full Moon edition may face criticism from purists, it’s sure to find a place in the hearts of those who appreciate its bold aesthetic and unique lunar connection. This captivating timepiece was available exclusively from May 5th to 6th in major cities across 19 countries, including Australia, Austria, Belgium, Germany, Mexico, Canada, Spain, Portugal, Singapore, USA, Switzerland, Taiwan, England, Denmark, Hong Kong, Japan, South Korea, Thailand, and China. Unfortunately, France had been left off the list.
