For the iconic rock band’s 60th anniversary, Nixon and the Rolling Stones have teamed up to create a capsule of limited edition watches, watch bands and other accessories.
Fans of the Rolling Stones – the legendary band has just ended its European “SIXTY” tour, with 14 concerts in 10 countries on the Old Continent – are always spoilt for choice when it comes to buying merchandise about the band. The announcement of the new Nixon x The Rolling Stones watch collection won’t make it any easier for them, as it includes a wide range of proposals that will be launched in two phases.
The first half of the collection, available for purchase now at Nixon.com, includes five watches and two replacement straps, ranging from affordable and stylish watches to more upscale limited edition ones that allow you to proudly display your Stones fervor on your wrist.
Nixon x The Rolling Stones Primacy
The star of the Nixon x Rolling Stones collection is this automatic Rolling Stones Primacy.
Available in only 250 pieces, the watch embodies the quintessential Rock’n’Roll aesthetic to the delight of collectors.
It features a stainless steel case, a vintage look dial with the famous woven tongue and lips, gold hands, a bluish date window, a three-hand automatic mechanical movement made in Japan and water resistance to 100 meters.
Its price is as high as its edition: $1 600 USD.
Nixon x Rolling Stones 51-30
This 51-30 from Nixon takes its name from the size of the dial (51 mm) and its water resistance rating (30 ATM).
The tongue and lips on the dial and the neon Rolling Stones font around them recall “the Stones’ early London club shows”. The crown and pushers located at 9 o’clock instead of 3 o’clock are to “prevent wrist bite during active use”.
A Japanese Miyota quartz movement with 4 hands and a unidirectional rotating bezel for an analog countdown complete the design.
This Nixon x The Rolling Stones 51-30 is priced at $550 USD.
Nixon x The Rolling Stones Time Teller
This Nixon x Rolling Stones Time Teller is offered in two versions: in “Gold” color and in “All Red”. The watch is a nostalgic nod to the golden age of the Rock’n’Roll legends. It is equipped with a Japanese Miyota quartz movement with three hands and a water resistance of 10 ATM (100 meters).
The Nixon x The Rolling Stones Time Teller costs $175 USD.
Nixon x The Rolling Stones Staple
Blending a rock’n’roll identity with a new-age spirit, the Nixon x Rolling Stones Staple, with its bright yellow case and voodoo illustration, pays tribute to the Stones’ Voodoo Lounge album. Made from recycled ocean plastics, the watch has an ultra-thin silhouette and includes features such as a customizable display that allows two functions to be shown simultaneously, an automatic calendar through 2099, a chronograph with 1/100 second resolution, a performance-oriented strap, and water resistance to 10 ATM (100 meters).
Head over to Nixon.com now to get one or all of these pieces, but hurry, because these limited edition pieces will go fast. Also be sure to keep your ears open for the second part of the collection, which is scheduled for release later this year.
