At the heart of this creation are two exclusive Jordan innovations: the full-length Formula 23 and the IsoPlate. These components work in unison with a medial wedge of Cushlon 3.0 foam, providing the foot with the appropriate banking angle for efficient forefoot push-off, crucial for quick breaks and cuts on the court.
The midsole of the Luka 2 is a composite of four elements. Firstly, the Formula 23 foam, which is positioned directly under the foot, and encased by a robust foam carrier. Secondly, a soft foam wedge on the medial side that helps the foot to subtly sink in, aligning it at an optimum angle for pushing off the court. Lastly, the upgraded version of the IsoPlate elevates the lateral sidewall against the carrier foam, ensuring player balance during swift lateral direction changes.
