Every day we get closer to the Lunar New Year celebration – 2023 will be the year of the water hare – in some Southeast Asian countries, like Vietnam, the hare is replaced by the rabbit – and in keeping with its tradition, Nike is celebrating the transition to the Lunar New Year with a plethora of commemorative silhouettes.
After a Dunk High, an Air Max TW, the Swoosh brand has chosen the Nike Air Huarache Craft to continue this highly anticipated “Lunar New Year” collection.
The pair is built on a foundation of neutral hues of crisp white, including the wavy side panels supported by a cream-colored panel underneath. On the neoprene sock and tongue, we see a colorful print of geometric and floral shapes, complemented by an embroidered orange mini Swoosh on the forefoot. Black touches notably on the lining, the heel-tab of the heel and the tongue as well as on the speckled pull tab framing the back of the shoe.
Under the foot, a clad “Sail” sole completes the design.
