Nike’s 2023 “Lunar New Year” collection – not yet officially unveiled – has been enriched with a new silhouette: this Nike Air Force 1 Low, alongside others, that will make the Swoosh brand in the new year of the Water Rabbit.
Here, no direct references to the star animal, the rabbit or hare for the Chinese. Instead, its designers chose to make subtle nods to the fourth animal of the Chinese zodiac through the white fur found on the side Swooshes and on the heel reinforcement at the back.
On top of the very light beige leather base, leather panels of the same hue but darker have been layered, including around the mudguard, the lace reinforcement and towards the back of the shoe.
Elsewhere, there are pretty beige floral embroideries here and there, adding a touch of luxury to the silhouette while a beige lining, bordering on brown, “Nike Air” and “AF1” (Air Force 1) branding embroidered in teal blue on the heel and forefoot, a white midsole complemented by a semi-transparent outsole complete the design.

No official release information has been announced yet, but it is certain that this Nike Air Force 1 Low “2023 Lunar New Year” will land before the festivities that will begin as early as January 22, 2023.
