Max Mara opened its new flagship store last Saturday in the luxury shopping area of Omotesando in Tokyo. This is its second store in the same neighborhood.

Present on the Japanese market since 1989, the flagship brand of the Max Mara Fashion Group has many points of sale in the archipelago – 55 stores according to the count on its website – including several of course in the capital.

With this new flagship, the brand founded in 1951 by the late Achille Maramotti intends to strengthen its presence in the land of the Rising Sun, despite a difficult economic context.

The 4,320-square-foot store was designed by Andrea Tognon Architecture studio. Its interior design is arranged in line with other Max Mara stores around the world, with a central metal staircase, mirrors and reflective surfaces to create optical illusions, as well as carpets with geometric patterns.

Max Mara’s new flagship was inaugurated in the presence of many celebrities and renowned influencers, and Japanese singer Chara produced an exclusive performance, performing her new single “A・O・U“. The performance was streamed live and projected on the screens of the famous Shibuya crossing.
