The waltz of capsule collections dedicated to the Lunar New Year 2023 – the Year of the Water Rabbit will begin on January 21 – continue with this one from Marni, which, like the other capsules, will feature the star animal, the fourth animal of the Chinese zodiac.
For this capsule, named simply “Year of the Rabbit”, Francesco Risso, creative director of the Italian luxury fashion house, has teamed up with Italian artist Flaminia Veronesi to create a range of pastel-colored garments and accessories that will make us look forward to the new year with more serenity.
Cardigans, cozy mohair sweaters, hoodies, t-shirts, but also denim pants with a wide cut are the rendezvous of this capsule. They are enhanced with graphics and iconography created by Flaminia Veronesi to celebrate the Lunar New Year such as adorable hearts and bears, and of course cute bunnies, all in an ultra-saturated palette of lilacs, soft pinks and creams.
Marni’s Pablo Touch-Strap sneakers, revisited with fur uppers, and the Dada Bumper model in white and yellow are also part of the collection, alongside rabbit pendants and calf leather bags.
