As the 2023 MotoGP World Championship picks up steam, fans eagerly anticipate the return of legendary rider Marc Marquez at this weekend’s French MotoGP at Le Mans. Recovered from a fractured hand, Marquez is poised to make a triumphant comeback and bring his unrivaled skills back to the track.

After a fateful collision with Miguel Oliveira during the opening round of the 2023 MotoGP season in Portimao, Spanish rider Marc Marquez faced a challenging road to recovery. The accident left Marquez with a fractured first metacarpal on his right hand, marking another setback in a series of injuries he has endured over the past three seasons. To ensure a full recovery, Marquez underwent surgery and followed doctors’ advice to sit out subsequent rounds in Argentina, USA, and Spain.

Now, Marquez’s medical team has cleared him to return to competition at the French MotoGP round in Le Mans, where he has secured victory three times in the premier class. Eager to rejoin the Repsol Honda Team and climb back onto his bike, Marquez expressed his gratitude towards the medical professionals who guided his healing process. He shared, “I am really happy to be back with the Repsol Honda Team, about to ride my bike again. First of all, I want to thank my medical team for their professionalism and advice over the past few weeks.”

Although the desire to return to racing was strong, Marquez recognized the importance of allowing his injury to heal properly. He elaborated, “Of course as a rider you always want to be back as soon as possible, but with an injury like this, it was really important to allow it to heal.”

With his injury now fully healed, Marquez is focused on the French GP and has no concerns about the state of his hand. As he gears up for his triumphant return, Marquez vows to “work to our maximum” and see what surprises the French GP has in store.
