With the 2022 World Cup in Qatar only a month away, exclusive collections dedicated to the event are being unveiled at a sustained rate, and the latest is this Louis Vuitton’s leather goods collection.
The LVMH Group luxury house has a close relationship with the quadrennial tournament as it has been supplying the FIFA World Cup Trophy travel trunk since 2010 – let’s not forget that it also signs the official trophy case for the Rugby World Cup France.
During the last World Cup 2018 in Russia, Louis Vuitton already unveiled its first unique leather goods collection dedicated to the world’s most watched sporting event and four years later, the French luxury house returns with a new five-piece capsule in black Taurillon leather.
The collection revisits one of the House’s most iconic signatures, the Damier pattern, embossed on this occasion to remind of the movement of a net when a goal is scored. The capsule includes icons such as the Keepall 50, the City Keepall and the Discovery backpack, perfect travel companions with large central compartments and numerous inside pockets. Practical, clever details have been designed to make carrying easier, such as adjustable shoulder straps accented with black metallic hardware. These exclusive creations are adorned with “Louis Vuitton” stamped leather labels shaped like a soccer league insignia, while the Keepall 50 features five protective bottom studs to nod to football cleats.
A dopp kit with contrast piping and adjustable leather handle and a five-pocket organizer are also included.
