Washington Wizards forward Kyle Kuzma has teamed up with PUMA Hoops, the German brand’s basketball division, to release a collaborative capsule.
Titled “Childhood Dreams,” after Kyle Kuzma’s fashion label, the collection is part of PUMA‘s “Forever Better” line, which aims to reduce the environmental impact of the brand’s products by making them from textile industry waste that is broken down and turned into reusable fabrics.
Inspired by the Kuzma’s youth, hence the name of the collection, and his basketball aspirations, the collection is full of nostalgic nods to the ’90s, including colored pockets and cargo pockets, with environmentally friendly fabrics and dyes.
The collection is composed of twelve pieces including a short, a varsity jacket, three T-shirts (short and long sleeves), a pair of pants, a cargo jacket, two hoodies, all of which are made responsibly, without plastic or with at least 20% recycled materials.
Also part of the collection are three pairs of lifestyle and performance shoes such as the iconic Ralph Sampson revisited as a mule, but also a TRC Blaze and a TRC Blaze Court.
In conjunction with the launch of the capsule, PUMA will donate $10,000 to the non-profit organization One Tree Planted to provide 10,000 trees to a project in Kuzma’s home state of Michigan.
