JUUN.J has chosen the prestigious Arab World Institute in Paris to showcase his Fall/Winter 2023 collection. The theme of the collection is “BROKEN,” and JUUN.J’s creative director, South Korean fashion designer Wookjun Jung, explains that it aims to express “atypical aesthetics” from various angles.
The collection was showcased in an impressive space with high pillars and contrasting lighting, featuring 40 pieces made of leather, denim, jersey, and wool materials, with design elements including faded and deconstructed garments.
JUUN.J has reinterpreted items such as military, rider, and denim pieces to create new silhouettes by breaking down boundaries, and by giving new life to old, worn out, and damaged items to create a sense of beauty through deconstruction. The color palette is composed of black, brown, green, and blue.
