Jordan World of Flight Shibuya, opening on last March 25, is a mesmerizing fusion of basketball culture and creative expression, celebrating the iconic Jordan Brand in the heart of Tokyo.
Following the successful opening of Jordan World of Flight Milan in December 2022, the Tokyo store takes the Jordan Brand‘s retail experience to new heights. Located in the bustling Shibuya district, the 9,200-square-foot space is a tribute to basketball culture, Jordan Brand’s identity, and heritage. Craig Williams, President of Jordan Brand, stated that the store represents “another unique expression of basketball culture” and serves as a “manifestation of the full potential of the Brand.“
Jordan World of Flight Shibuya showcases best-in-class Jordan Brand products for men, women, and kids. The Workshop, a customization station, offers personalized products like the AJ1 and the Renegade jacket, along with educational tutorials on shoe lacing, care, and preservation. For Nike Members, the store introduces innovative membership experiences and a dedicated SNKRS pick-up area, while The Flight Lounge provides a space for members to relax and connect over Jordan Brand history and basketball culture.
A first for any Jordan store, the Content Studio at Jordan World of Flight Shibuya allows shoppers to film unboxings, reviews, and create content to share on their social media platforms. This space is designed to foster creativity and further amplify the connection between the Jordan Brand and its fans.
To accentuate the store’s connection to Tokyo’s local art scene, Jordan Brand commissioned local artists to create artwork that reflects the city’s connection to basketball culture. These unique creations can be seen in the mural-inspired backboards behind the main desk and in the fitting rooms. Moreover, graphic designer and local Jordan collector Katsu has lent items from his extensive collection of Jordan artifacts to decorate The Flight Lounge.
Situated on Meiji Dori Street, near the Harajuku trade zone, Jordan World of Flight Shibuya is set to become a must-visit destination for basketball aficionados, creatives, and Jordan Brand enthusiasts in Japan and around the world.
