Luxury watchmaker Jaeger-LeCoultre welcomes Chinese superstar Jackson Yee (Yi Yangqianxi, in Chinese) to its list of global ambassadors.
In recent years, the world’s leading luxury brands have named Asia’s most famous faces as their brand ambassadors, signifying the ever-growing importance of the Asian market.
Jaeger-LeCoultre has just announced the appointment of Chinese actor, dancer and singer Jackson Yee as its new global ambassador – he is also an ambassador for Emporio Armani and Tiffany & Co. The 22-year-old Chinese superstar joins another superstar from the Asian continent in his role as ambassador for the Manufacture based in Le Sentier: South Korean actor Kim Woo-Bin.
“I greatly admire Jaeger-LeCoultre for its elegant and timeless style, rich heritage and constant quest for innovation,” said Jackson Yee. “I feel honoured to work with the Maison and very much look forward to our new collaboration.”
At only 22 years old, Jackson Yee is one of China’s most popular celebrities. He made his professional debut at the age of five, appearing in several variety programs. At the age of 17, he was accepted into the prestigious Central Academy of Drama in Beijing.
His film roles have been praised by critics and audiences alike, and he has been nominated for three Golden Rooster Awards. His lead role in the romantic thriller Better Days – nominated for Best International Film at the 2021 Oscars – brought him to worldwide attention and won him the Best Newcomer Award at the Hundred Flowers Awards and Hong Kong Film Awards.
In his first photo shoot for Jaeger-LeCoultre, Yee wears the new Reverso Tribute Duoface Calendar in rose gold. The timepiece combines two Jaeger-LeCoultre complications – the triple calendar and the Duoface – and allows its wearer to display two time zones on two different faces.
