Last June, hummel became the new equipment supplier of AS Saint-Étienne, replacing Le Coq Sportif, and has just unveiled the third jersey of Laurent Batlles’ club, which plays in Ligue 2.
While green remains the main color of the home and away jerseys, the third jersey of the Greens surprises by its very dark shade. Indeed, the black replaces the green emblematic of the club, dominating almost entirely on the shirt as well as the short. Only a few white touches come to disturb the whole, bringing a little contrasting brightness.
The third jersey features a pattern inspired by the Couriot shaft headframe, one of the strongest symbols of Saint-Etienne’s mining past, and is a reminder and embodiment of the values cherished by the former mining town and the club. A miner’s lamp is visible on the collar.
For the first time, the new logo in its version enriched by a representation of the branches of oak and laurel, present on the coat of arms of the city.
And, true to the club’s commitment to the environment, each kit is made from a high-performance polyester obtained from the recycling of eight recycled plastic bottles.
The hummel x AS Saint Etienne Third Jersey is on sale at boutiquedesverts.fr for €79.95.
