More than a year after the game’s announcement and months of closed beta testing, Bandai Namco‘s GUNDAM EVOLUTION, the franchise’s first-ever free-to-play hero shooter, has finally received a release date set for September 22.
The new free-to-play FPS that will be available on both consoles and PC features 6v6 PvP combat across three objective-based game modes (Capture Points, Domination and Destruction), between two teams of six Mobile Suits who will attempt to eliminate each other while trying to complete objectives.
At launch, you’ll have twelve different Gundam units to choose from, ranging from RX-78-2, Guntank and GM to Sazabi, Zaku II, Dom Trooper, Turn A Gundam and even Barbatos. In addition to these new playable characters, there will be new maps: Harbor City, Wilderness Mini Field, Guiana Highlands and Security Terminal, all loosely based on the vast Gundam saga on televion.
As you progress through the game, you’ll earn more EVO coins and capital points that will unlock more Mobile Suits and cosmetic items to customize.
