Heavily influenced by California and New York, Matthew M Williams’ Pre-Fall 2023 collection for GIVENCHY engages in a dialogue between the house’s “Parisian codes” and its version of Americana.
As a result, the classics of the luxury house have been revisited with that streetwear touch that its current creative director is particularly fond of – this work of modernization to meet the new wave of youth identity was initiated under the Riccardo Tisci era.
Suit pants are trimmed with logo ribbons on the sides like track pants or transformed into cargo pants with a zipped hem; blazers have been paired with oversized denim cargo pants or have a single metal clasp as a button; two-piece ensembles in casual washed black denim; or a black leather jacket embellished with glittering studs on the chest spelling out the name GIVENCHY.
All of these pieces are paired with highly technical sneakers and come in a wide variety of colors.
