New York-based designer Eric Haze, one of the pioneers of graffiti, is a long-time collaborator with G-SHOCK – their collaboration dates back to 1999. In addition to designing G-SHOCK’s anniversary logos and identities, including the brand’s 25th anniversary, Haze has collaborated on several G-SHOCK models including this new G-SHOCK GMW-B5000EH for the Japanese brand’s 40th anniversary.

Made entirely of stainless steel, the GMW-B5000EH is based on the GMW-B5000D, which itself inherited the design of the very first G-SHOCK. The G-SHOCK x Eric Haze features a strap with Haze’s signature pattern of engraved dots in various monochrome hues that give the impression of camouflage print.

The logo designed by Haze for G-SHOCK’s 40th anniversary is engraved on the case back, while the artist’s graffiti logo appears in red on the watch’s LED backlight when the light is activated.
