CASIO has once again raised the bar for divers with its latest release, the G-SHOCK FROGMAN MRG-BF1000R and GW-8230NT-4ER.
These premium timepieces blend sophisticated design, expert craftsmanship, and cutting-edge technology to deliver unmatched performance, making them the perfect companions for underwater adventures.
The G-SHOCK FROGMAN MRG-BF1000R: A Masterpiece in Metal
The MRG-BF1000R embraces the FROGMAN series’ iconic asymmetric design, which ensures unrestricted wrist movement underwater, making it one of the most sought-after diving watches. The unique construction of the MRG-BF1000R showcases its premium metal form, boasting an ISO 200-meter water resistance.

In order to achieve the exquisite metal form of the FROGMAN series, CASIO employed a multi-component structure with individual polishing processes applied before assembly. This meticulous process allows for a stunning texture and unparalleled attention to detail. The case alone consists of 76 components, including the O-ring waterproof sealing, buffers, and other intricate parts.

Enhancing shock resistance, fluoro rubber buffers are integrated into the exterior components surrounding the case. This design not only absorbs shocks but also protects the crystal. The case back features a screw-lock construction press-fit with sapphire crystal, ensuring a highly airtight structure while boosting radio wave reception sensitivity.

In dive mode, the MRG-BF1000R’s hour and minute hands rotate together, providing an intuitive and easy-to-read display of time spent underwater. Three dual-coil motors enable quick switching between current time and elapsed dive time. Moreover, pairing with the dedicated CASIO WATCHES smartphone app allows divers to review their diving activities, including dive times and locations, and access tide graphs for approximately 3,300 spots worldwide.
Celebrating 30 Years of FROGMAN: The G-SHOCK FROGMAN GW-8230NT-4ER
As a tribute to the 30th anniversary of the FROGMAN, CASIO also introduces the G-SHOCK FROGMAN GW-8230NT-4ER. The famous diving frog, beloved by FROGMAN fans, is engraved on the back of the case and appears on the LCD screen when the LED backlight is activated.

The solar panel of the GW-8230NT-4ER is cut in the shape of the dial of the second-generation FROGMAN, and its bezel and strap are made with bio-based resins produced from renewable organic resources. The titanium case and screw-down case back ensure a watertight seal, making it suitable for diving and meeting ISO standards for water resistance, including underwater button operation.

The G-SHOCK FROGMAN MRG-BF1000R, manufactured in Japan, is priced at €5,000 per piece, while the G-SHOCK FROGMAN GW-8230NT-4ER, also manufactured in Japan, comes at a more affordable €569. Both watches are available at G-SHOCK retailers and on gshock.casio.com.
