Good collabs never stop in good way. For the umpteenth time, RAF SIMONS and Fred Perry have come together for a new capsule that once again highlights the intersection of fashion, music and multiculturalism.
The Belgian designer was inspired this time by the Northern Soul scene – Northern Soul is a musical genre that emerged in the late 1960s in the United Kingdom and was popularized in the 1970s, with Frank Wilson’s Do I Love You and Chuck Wood’s Seven’s Days Is Too Long being true spokespersons for the movement – to reinterpret Fred Perry pieces.
In a predominantly black color palette, the key pieces are adorned with patches that look like soul vinyl labels and embroideries created from labels, artists and song titles imagined especially for this collection.
The capsule features polo shirts, t-shirts, oversized sweatshirts, a denim jacket and matching brushed cotton twill pants, a cotton gabardine Harrington jacket in a boxy fit, a three-button front closure blazer, and a parka with graphic all-over patches.
The capsule is available on Fredperry.com and in select stores of the brand, starting August 11, 2022.
