evian and BALMAIN are teaming up for the first time to release a limited edition of 75cL glass bottles, to be sold from October 2022.
Every year, for more than 15 years, evian has collaborated with major fashion brands to design its annual limited edition 75cL glass bottles. This year, the Parisian luxury fashion house BALMAIN and its creative director Olivier Rousteing accepted the challenge. With this collaboration, the two partners wanted to celebrate their common vision: to imagine together sustainable innovations for future generations.
Symbolizing this shared ambition, this new 75cL evian x BALMAIN bottle features light blue lace details, baroque decorative motifs, as well as water droplets that are inspired by evian natural mineral water, all adorned by the BALMAIN’s signature inseparable golden characters.

“When I walk the streets of Paris, I am constantly drawn to the baroque ornamentation atop the city’s most impressive monuments and structures. This distinctive beauty is often echoed in my work. So I can’t think of a more beautiful motif to showcase the precious contents of these bottles: evian natural mineral water,” Olivier Rousteing explained about the historic ornaments that inspired him for this collaboration.

“At evian, we are always looking for innovative partners who share our values and with whom we can move forward to discover innovative solutions and insights. Thanks to our historical establishment within international fashion partnerships, our experience of working with BALMAIN and Olivier Rousteing has been incredible: we have been able to celebrate the heritage, optimism and our shared determination to drive innovation in this sector,” said Dawid Borowiec, evian Global Brand Director.

And to take the collaboration even further, and offer a more sustainable approach, Olivier Rousteing oversaw the creation of a couture dress, woven from a monofilament made from recycled evian plastic bottles.
This innovative technology created a unique fabric from 46% recycled waste that meets the rigorous GRS4.0 (The GRS4.0-The Global Recycled Standard Certificate) standards requiring that at least 20% of the product be created from recycled materials. This filament can itself be easily recycled or used again to make new bottles.
To highlight the purity and power of natural mineral water, the French fashion prodigy played on the unique sculptural possibilities of this innovative fabric as well as sophisticated pleating and volumes to evoke the curves of an aquatic whirlpool.
This creation will be presented for the first time on the brand’s runway during the upcoming BALMAIN Festival, on September 28, at the Jean Bouin Stadium, as part of Paris Fashion Week.

The limited edition of 75cL evian x BALMAIN bottles will be released at the end of October.
