As the world of K-pop continues to expand its global reach, a new group of stars is emerging on the horizon. ENHYPEN, a seven-member boy band, is making waves in the music industry with their unique style and captivating performances. Recently, they graced the cover of ELLE MAN Korea’s June 2023 edition, showcasing a darker, more mature side of their artistry.
The photoshoot, masterfully captured by renowned fashion photographer Yoon Ji Yong, reveals a side of ENHYPEN that fans have not seen before. The group’s transformation into a darker, more intense aesthetic is a testament to their versatility and willingness to explore new territories in their music and style.
The band’s latest mini-album, “DARK BLOOD,” is a clear departure from their earlier work. The members of ENHYPEN have embraced this darker concept wholeheartedly, with their performances and visuals reflecting the album’s intense theme. The group’s leader, Jungwon, shared, “We haven’t faced a real challenge yet. We are waiting for it.” This statement encapsulates the group’s readiness to take on new challenges and their determination to push their boundaries.
The members’ individual styles were also highlighted in the photoshoot. Each member donned outfits from Kusikohc, a brand known for its edgy and street-style inspired designs. The fashion choices for the shoot, ranging from graphic print jackets to denim pieces, perfectly complemented the group’s darker concept.
The photoshoot was not just about showcasing their new concept; it was also an opportunity for the members to express their individuality. Jungwon, for instance, shared his love for the street-style concept, stating, “I really love this completely street-style concept.” He also praised his fellow members, particularly Ni-ki, for their ability to embody the concept, “Ni-ki, who is not yet an adult, was able to digest the provocative feel well.“
ENHYPEN’s journey has been nothing short of remarkable. From their debut in November 2020 to their first world tour, “MANIFESTO,” the group has shown tremendous growth. Despite the challenges brought about by the pandemic, they have managed to connect with their fans, known as “Engines,” and deliver performances that leave a lasting impression.
As they continue to evolve and grow as artists, ENHYPEN remains grounded and focused on their craft. They are not just content with being successful; they strive to be artists who excel in their field. As they prepare for their comeback with “DARK BLOOD,” they are not just waiting for the real challenge; they are ready to face it head-on.
