Fashion designer Nicolas Di Felice is known for his ability to seamlessly blend functionality and social observation into his designs, making them both stylish and practical. His latest collection for courrèges, the Pre-Fall 2023 line, is no exception.
Di Felice was inspired by the universal phenomenon of people constantly hunching over their phones, and aimed to reflect this in his designs. He introduced a slight forward-tilt of the shoulder line in his clothing, as well as the clever addition of an invisible zipper extending to the elbow on the inside of tailored sleeves, allowing wearers to use their phones without ruining their clothes.
The collection also features sharp, mostly dark lines that pay homage to the original space-age minimalism of the Courrèges brand, while updating it for a new generation.
