As Pride Month 2023 arrives, COS is illuminating the world stage with a vibrant tribute to queer club culture.
Launching a limited-edition T-shirt capsule collection, COS brings forth a kaleidoscopic display of unity, creativity, and individuality in collaboration with globally recognized clubs Horse Meat Disco, House of Yes, Sink The Pink, and Churros con Chocolate. This initiative reemphasizes COS’s unyielding support for the international LGBTQIA+ community, while fostering an environment of respect, safety, and inclusivity.
In an era where queer spaces have dwindled in number due to the pandemic, alongside the persistent struggles with transphobia, homophobia, and gentrification, the importance of these collectives has become more pronounced. They are lifelines for their communities, powerhouses of inspiration, and celebratory havens where individuals can express their true selves.
“The Horse Meat Disco” T-shirt is a vibrant homage to the members’ distinctive creativity and individuality. Recognized internationally as festival mainstays, their communal passion for disco and dance finds expression in a bold, multicolored DISCO logo.
Representing New York’s “House of Yes,” an artistic hub focused on fostering connections and igniting creativity, a heart intertwined with lines becomes an emblem of interconnectedness and unity.
“Sink The Pink,” renowned for championing self-expression, has contributed a delightful design that showcases its celebrated drag queens, thereby encapsulating its rich heritage.
Lastly, “Churros con Chocolate,” an entertaining Spanish festival, has channelled the flamboyance of its attendees into the iconic poster design, representing the art of costume and flamboyant individuality.
Brett Lloyd, renowned for his exquisite visual storytelling, has captured the essence of this collection. His photographs feature faces that truly represent the heart and soul of LGBTQIA+ communities across the globe.
In a generous commitment to making a difference, COS will be donating 100% of the profits from this collection to four worthy organizations: Kaleidoscope Trust, Not a Phase, Observatori Contra l’Homofòbia, and Margate Pride. These organizations work relentlessly to advocate for LGBTQIA+ rights and welfare, and COS’s support will significantly bolster their efforts.
