With the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar in full swing, celio has teamed up with French rapper Vegedream, the performer of Ramenez la coupe à la maison (“Bring the Cup Home”), to create a capsule with a streetwear feel.
The 7-piece celio x Vegedream collection is the first collab of the French brand dedicated to urban culture and to football. Echoing the international competition, one of the most watched sports events on the planet, currently taking place in Qatar, the collection highlights the codes of street culture and rap, through futuristic patterns and reflective details, as well as the culture of soccer, notably with the nod to the round ball subtly suggested through the capsule’s logo.
Orleans-born French rapper and songwriter Vegedream, whose stage name comes from the character Vegeta in the Dragon Ball manga, rose to fame with his song Ramenez la coupe à la maison (“Bring the Cup Home”). Released in July 2018, a few days after the victory of the French Football Team in the 2018 Football World Cup, the single quickly caracolated the charts in France and has since become the official anthem of the victory of Les Bleus in the competition.
