In the M brand’s 50th year, BMW Italy and Alcantara have teamed up to create a unique BMW M4 Competition, with an exclusive Alcantara interior, the result of a joint work between the two brands.
Unveiled at BMW House, Via Verri in Milan, this exceptional edition is based on the current generation of the most successful model series in the history of BMW M: the BMW M3 and BMW M4, synonymous with high performance in the medium premium segment and powered with an inline six-cylinder engine with power output of up to 375 kW/510 hp, M TwinPower Turbo technology and high RPM features.
Inside this BMW M4 Competition, the German automaker called on Alcantara to dress the seats, roof liner, pillars and door panels with a black and yellow version, with contrasting stitching, of its Alcantara leather specially developed for the occasion.
The headrests feature the M logo, created to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the M division, and the BMW 50Jahre logo, both embroidered, to highlight the excellence of Italian craftsmanship.
Like a thread between the past and the future, some of the car’s details, such as the center seat and door panel weave, are inspired by the historic 1972 BMW 3.0 CSL.
Other custom features of this unique piece include a laser reproduction of the Milan skyline on the door side panels. Milan was chosen as the city of lifestyle and fashion where both brands are based, and as being the cradle of the project.
