For Fall 2023, Berluti presented its vision for a timeless wardrobe for the modern man. The collection, split into four chapters which will be dropping in stores between July and December, features cashmere sweaters, leather down jackets, and vests in rich hues inspired by the brand’s signature patina shoes. The label’s takes on classic styles, like biker jackets and shearling bombers, are known for their flawless fabrication.
In recent years, Berluti has catered to personalities such as Andy Warhol, Frank Sinatra, Yves Saint Laurent, and Marcel Proust. However, the collection showcased a shift towards more casual, relaxed styles like an oatmeal stretch cashmere that looks as comfortable as a tracksuit. The modern business traveler could pair it with a bag or suitcase in Berluti’s new Toile Marbeuf canvas, featuring a fresh take on the Scritto, the brand’s signature 18th-century manuscript motif.
While Berluti is best known for its classic shoes, the brand also offers a range of sneakers. The new collection includes lightweight technical nylon knit and cashmere versions, as well as a retro-flavored model called Trainer. This streamline offering from Berluti is a blueprint for dressing down while still dressing up, without the hassle of complicated styling.
