Having been present in the Middle East for a few years and stocked at OUNASS and Harvey Nichols, Los Angeles-based fashion designer Mike Amiri continues to expand, particularly in the United Arab Emirates, with the opening of his first flagship store in the region at The Dubai Mall, one of the world’s most exclusive luxury shopping destinations.
Spanning 3,500 square feet, the flagship opens with local partner SOHO Middle East. It is the brand’s third international flagship after Shanghai and Tokyo, both opened earlier this year, and first flagship in the Middle East.
Designed with Paris-based design studio NOCOD, the flagship reflects a contemporary environment inspired by the brand’s craftsmanship and artistic language.
The space is decorated with Californian flora and furniture chosen by Mike Amiri in collaboration with interior designer Katherine Waronker, and features noble materials such as walnut wood, Paloma stone, marble and stainless steel.
The store offers a full range of men’s and women’s ready-to-wear collections, accessories, shoes and leather goods. An exclusive “Dubai Palm Tree” capsule is also available with the opening of the store. Featuring silk shirts and shorts, a t-shirt, hoodie, jersey shorts and a hat, the pieces are adorned with a new hand-painted botanical illustration inspired by the date palm tree.
AMIRI Dubai marks the brand’s latest opening. In 2020, AMIRI opened a flagship store in Los Angeles, setting the tone for the brand’s most immersive experience, then later opened stores in Las Vegas, New York and, in 2022, followed Miami, Tokyo, Shanghai and Atlanta.
