Although it has three decades of age behind it, the Air Jordan 7 has never reached the peak of popularity of its counterparts, such as the Air Jordan 1, 3, 4 or 11. But can the arrival of this new Air Jordan 7 Retro SE “Black/Olive” correct this? It is quite possible, now let’s review what we expect!
This new colorway of the Air Jordan 7 uses a similar color blocking to the original Air Jordan 7 “Bordeaux” from 1992. As such, “Neutral Olive” replaces the original “Bordeaux” on the nubuck base, complemented by black leather overlays that highlight the contrast. Elsewhere, there is an African-inspired zig-zag pattern – the same one found on the Air Jordan 7 “Afrobeats” – on the forefoot and heel. The design is also highlighted by gold graphics on the tongue, pull tab, as well as the embroidered Nike Air branding on the heel.
Contrasting “Cherrywood Red” and “Chutney” accents on the midsoles complete the design.
