A new era for Jordan Brand is announced with the upcoming debut of its Air Jordan 37, which should land before the NBA season 2022-2023.
After many leaks and rumors carefully distilled on the web, Jordan Brand has officially confirmed the upcoming release of its new silhouette.
Like its two predecessors, the Air Jordan 35 and Air Jordan 36, the Air Jordan 37 pays homage to its heritage with similar specs, in part, to the Air Jordan 7 which is celebrating its 30th anniversary throughout the year.
The upcoming AJ37 features an upper made from a lightweight, translucent woven Lenoweave pattern material – the pattern is inspired by the Air Jordan 7 and West African basket weaving craftsmanship – that provides flexibility and breathability, backed by built-in exoskeleton to add more support. Another legacy of the Air Jordan 7 is also visible here, with the Huarache-style bootie system, visible on the collar, used for locking and adjusting.
For the midsole, Jordan Brand opts for Formula 23 soft foam integrated into the heel, with a dual-stack Zoom Air strobel featured in the forefoot and a carbon fiber shank plate for added rigidity. Finally, the outsole again takes inspiration from the AJ 7 design with a pattern taken from the silhouette, colored here in different colors.
This Air Jordan 37 “Light Bone” (code: DD6958-060) is expected to be released this fall via Nike.com and select retailers, priced at approximately $185 USD.
