The first Nike sneakers celebrating the festivities of the Lunar New Year of the Water Rabbit are starting to be known. After a Nike Air Max TW “Lunar New Year”, it’s the turn of a Nike Dunk High “Lunar New Year” to be revealed.
This new Nike Dunk High festive arrives with a leather base “Summit White”, embellished with light beige suede inserts “Light Bone”, especially at the mudguard, lace reinforcement and towards the heel. The side swooshes are also made of hairy suede, but in a slightly darker beige color. Other details include a very nice “Gold Mountain” logo embroidered towards the heel on the outer side, nodding to the “Gold Mountain”, the name given to California and British Columbia – the term expanded to mean “the west of North America” – by Chinese immigrants in the 1840s in search of gold and riches, gold Chinese characters on the tongue labels and on the jade green insoles.
A white midsole and translucent icy outsole complete the design.
